Greece’s national legislation has not, as yet, set specific requirements for calibration and certification of the spraying equipment, nor for the training and accreditation of professional users of pesticides. Action 10 carried out technical evaluations and calibration of pre-selected examples of spraying equipment used in the area. For this purpose, a prototype portable calibration system was constructed, which allowed the in situ calibration of spraying equipment. Furthermore, as part of this Action, the development and the implementation of a certification scheme for equipment and for the accreditation of professional users was completed, and has been submitted to the appropriate regulatory bodies.
